Disney Infinity Toys

Disney Infinity Toys

Disney Infinity Toys is similar to Activision's Skylanders they are both toys-to-life playset. You will have characters figurines that you will need to put on the Infinity Base, and its Toy Box mode allowed you to build your own worlds. The characters from Disney and Pixar can interact and go on adventures. The game is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.

The art are the work of Ian Jacobs which is the Senior Character Artist at Disney Interactive Studios.

Disney Infinity lets you purchase digital upgrade to this year's game through the PlayStation Store, Wii U eShop or Xbox Games Store, an offer that makes sense with the company referring to the franchise as a software platform. Players can then go out and purchase the new characters individually, or buy packages such as the Play Set for Marvel's The Avengers, instead of paying for another Starter Pack. The existing Infinity Base will also work with the new game.

The Disney Infinity 3.0 features characters from the Star Wars universe and Iron Man Hulkbuster.

Pixar's Finding Nemo was one of their most popular films back in 2003 now after 13 years here comes the sequel "Finding Dory". Ellen DeGeneres will reprise the role of Dory. Hank, an Octopus with only seven tentacles will be played by Ed O'Neill (Modern Family), and Bailey (beluga whale) is played by Ty Burrell (Modern Family).

At Disney’s D23 Expo Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton gave some juicy details about Finding Dory.

“I wanted to know that if this charming, forgetful fish ever got lost again, that she would be okay. That she would find her way home. And at the end of ‘Finding Nemo,’ I wasn’t confident about that. So that’s when I knew I had another story”, Stanton said.

The film is about an ocean sanctuary where wounded animals are treated and released back into the wild.

In the short teaser of the movie Finding Dory, it shows Dory and Marlin, along with his son Nemo (Alexander Gould). Dory is having trouble with her instincts which is trying to guide her home, but she forgot where or why she needs to go home. Eventually, she remembers that her mother and father have no idea where she is and she has to go find them. Though Marlin doesn’t want to go on another journey, he eventually relents and states that he “knows a guy” to get them across the ocean.

The movie takes place only 6 months after the events of Finding Nemo, and is set largely in the Marine Biology Institute of California.

"Lone Ranger" A Big Dissappointment for Disney expects $190 million loss

Lone Ranger,Disney,Walt Disney

Walt Disney Co said on Tuesday that they expect to lose about $190 million on their very expensive movie flop "The Lone Ranger."

"The Lone Ranger" stars Johnny Depp. The loss will be recorded for the quarter that ends in September. Disney shares dropped 1.9 percent in after-hours trading to $65.79 from a $67.05 close on the New York Stock Exchange.

The movie opened July 3 with a dissappointing $29 million in U.S. and Canadian ticket sales over its first weekend.

"There has been a lot said, I know, about the risk of basically high cost, tent pole films," Disney CEO Bob Iger said, "and we certainly can attest to that given what happened with Lone Ranger."

"We still think the tentpole strategy is a good strategy," he said. "That one way to rise above the din and the competition is with a big film, not just big budget, but big story, big cast, big marketing behind it."
