Star Wars Toys: BB-8 App controlled Droid
The BB-8 is a robotic toy shaped like a ball and controlled using an iPhone. It is created by Sphero and based from the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The toy is basically a ball with a head that is attached to the ball using magnets. The head also has wheels so that the robot toy can roll around while the head stays on top.
The robot ball is as big as a baseball that fits in the palm of a hand. Both the head and the body are made of plastic. It is also equipped with LEDs inside that allows it to light up in dark areas.
BB-8 droid will show different expressions based on your interaction. It can even perk up when you give voice commands. Set it to patrol and watch your Droid explore autonomously, make up your own adventure and guide BB8 yourself, or create and view holographic recordings.
The BB-8 is a great toy, however be careful the plastic can easily break and it's a bit hard on the wallet at $149 on Amazon.
