$5 credit Christmas Deal on Amazon Appstore

Amazon Appstore has roll out a $5 credit Christmas Deal that you can use on your next purchase when you download an app or a game from their new Amazon Appstore version for Android.

Make sure that you download the game or app from the newest version of the Amazon Appstore on your Android phone or tablet. The promo is between 12:00 AM (EST) December 24, 2013 and 11:59 PM (PST) December 28, 2013, you must download in between those times.

The $5 promotional credit will expire on March 31, 2014 at 11:59 PM (PST), and is limited to 1 credit per customer and account.

Angry Birds Go! is now available for free download on iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10 platforms.

Rovio, the Finnish developer, released their new kart racing game the "Angry Birds Go." You can download it for free.

The game features all the characters from the original Angry Birds games, however in this game they are racing their way through the Piggy Island in 3D through speedways, canyons, stunt roads and air courses in soapbox carts.

It is really simple you just need to tilt or touch to control after releasing the kart with the help of the catapult.

Vending machines are everywhere in Japan, they have vending machines for soda, noodles, lettuce, banana etc. Now they are adding a vending machine for Android apps.

Google Japan announced that it will be releasing three dedicated Google Play machines that will sell 18 different gaming apps which includes free-to-play and paid apps. If you device runs on Android 4.0 and Near Field Communication (NFC) you can immediately try out the app vending machine.

The machines use NFC to communicate with your device. Just place your device on the tray and you can start browsing the selection of 18 games on the large touchscreen. And if you don’t happen to have an Android phone with you, there is a Nexus 4 to try out and play with.

Trash converted to a cute Android robot

If you've always wanted that little Android icon on your phone to come to life, there's hope. Someone from Taiwan has built himself an Android robot--made from a painted garbage can.

Despite its trashy origins, the wheeled robot certainly looks adorable with its rotating arms and LED lights for eyes. All of these actions are controlled via an external remote control. There's even a little port at the back to charge the machine.

This little fella was built using Arduino, an open-source microcontroller board for developing interactive objects. The microcontroller takes commands from the remote control and sends them to the switches used to control the lights and motors of the robots.
