Parrot SA is a France-based wireless products manufacturer company headquartered in Paris, France. They are the maker of the Parrot AR.Drone. The company's latest project is the "Disco Drone", it is a very unique drone since it can not only reach speeds of 50 miles per hour, it does so with wings.

The Disco Drone ditched the quad-copter design (Parrot AR.Drone $262.26 at Amazon) for a drone that is similar to an airplane. It is equipped with a single propeller at the back that can be started up with a shake.  You can just toss the drone into the air and it will start to circle as it ascends. It will continue to do so until you gain control through Parrot’s own Skycontroller, which can be hooked up to a smartphone or tablet.

The drone is equipped with sensors that includes gyroscoe, GPS, accelerometer, and even a barometer. It also has la 14 megapixel camera on the front of the drone. On a single charge, it can give you up to 44 minutes flight time. Once you are done using the drown and you are ready to land it can be landed automatically it will spiral down to the ground for a smooth and angled landing.
