"The Wolverine" Slash its way to the TOP
LOS ANGELES — "The Wolverine" beat monsters and minions to debut on top of the weekend box office. The Fox film features Hugh Jackman and opened with $55 million in North America, Fox estimates Sunday. It may be on top however, it is still considered weak since it's way less than the $85.1M which 2009 X-Men Origin: Wolverine made in its debut.
However the global market looks good for the movie, “Global number is a huge $141.1m,” Fox said.
Don't leave when the movie is over wait for the after-credits scene. You are in for a surprise!
Last weekend’s top movie, Warner Bros.’ low-budget horror ‘‘The Conjuring,’’ slipped to second place, adding another $22.1 million to its take, while ‘‘Despicable Me 2’’ was in third with $16 million.

Captain America: The Winter Solider (modern world sequel)
San Diego - At this year Comic-Con in San Diego the cast and directors of the upcoming "Captain America: The Winter Solider" gave preview of the upcoming film and reveal new footage.
The movie is scheduled for release on April 4. It was directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo and is meant to bridge the gap between "The Avengers" and its 2015 sequel.
The footage revealed Captain America adjusting to the modern world and some new and dangerous challenges compared with the original "Captain America" film, which was set in the 1940s.
"The hurdle of Captain America is that his nature is to put himself last," Evans said. "The first Captain America film is about getting the opportunity to serve, the opportunity to lead, to a solider. I think he's so determined to do what's right. The conflict with this modern society as opposed to the '40s is in the '40s, it was easy to say 'the Nazis are the bad guys.' Today it's a little bit harder to know 'who am I serving?'
"It's not about doing the right thing, it's about 'what is the right thing?' We get to see Captain struggling with that. That's where his relationship with Black Widow comes to fruition. She's someone who has had to compromise her morals and not live in black and white, and I think as a result -- I can't say too much -- something happens. These two people from different worlds need to rely on each other."

Angry Birds Star Wars II and Telepods Interactive Toys Launch
Rovio announced on their blog that the new "Angry Birds Star Wars II" will be launched on September 19 across app stores worldwide.
"The new game will tackle the prequels, introducing a wide roster of never-before-seen Angry Birds Star Wars characters. The best part? You’ll get to play with over 30 of them!"
"At this point we will not comment on rumors or speculation that Jar Jar Binks will be in the game."
Alongside the launch of "Angry Birds Star Wars II" is the new interactive toys from Hasbro "Telepods." It allows players to scan the 30 different figures to add them to the game and allow players to customize the birds being fired on a given level.
"To compliment this wide lineup of characters, there will also be a line of over 30 collectable TELEPODS figures from Hasbro. Placing these figures onto your phone or tablet camera will scan your character of choice directly into the game, allowing you to select new characters on the fly."
"Another first for the series is that you can choose your side! Players can choose to “Join the Pork Side”, and rumor has it that the emperor is recruiting (more on this soon!!)."
